Features

We deliver a superior cooking experience that’ll turn any backyard into a “Parrillada” fiesta. These live fire grills feature our J-grates (patent pending) designed to direct grease away from the heat, preventing flare-ups and producing healthier, tastier food.

They come with a wheel-driven adjustable height system for the grill grates, allowing for perfect heat control. And they are not all about meat either.  Primal grills are versatile, great for vegetables, fish, pizza, griddle, and more, offering an authentic smoky flavor that’s unattainable with gas grills.

304 Stainless Steel – Our grills are crafted from durable, commercial heavy gauge 304 stainless steel, which boasts over 10.5% chromium for superior corrosion resistance, ensuring they are rust-resistant and built to last. Unlike less durable options like 430, which lacks water resistance, or the cost-effective but rust-prone 201 and 202, our choice of material stands for quality and longevity.

Ambidextrous – Our versatile crank mechanism can be mounted on either the left or right side to suit your setup, such as installing it to the left when your gas grill is on the right, using the included stainless-steel bolts.

Carted or Built-in Design – If you opt to integrate the grill into your barbecue counter, the leg assembly is detachable for a seamless built-in installation.

Insulated w Cera Wool – The grill’s sides are insulated, allowing for installation directly adjacent to other cooktops without clearance.  Sidewalls are filled with Cera Wool, a commercial-grade ceramic wool designed for high-temperature applications up to 1,300 °C, like furnaces and kilns. This lightweight insulator doesn’t hold heat, has minimal thermal conductivity, and is highly efficient for insulation.

Warranty – Primal Grills offers a 5-year warranty against manufacturing and material defects for this product, applicable under normal use and with the original purchase invoice. This warranty is exclusive to the original buyer and does not cover labor costs.

Line Optimization – Our grills are set to be competitively priced, providing our dealers with attractive margins thanks to cost-effective offshore manufacturing. With KD packaging, we can fit 99 grills per shipping container, maximizing efficiency. Quality Assurance at our offshore facility ensures top-notch products prior to shipping. Post-launch, we’ll expand our range with new grill models and introduce a line of BBQ accessories, including griddles, rotisserie, and pizza cooking tools, tailored for the US market.

Our Story

We’re three barbecue aficionados and self-described pyromaniacs who knew there was something missing in the world of live-fire cooking: the ultimate grills and accessories.

Pitmaster Harry Soo and Sales Director Jon Faulkenberry met in 2019 during Jealous Devil cooking demos and bonded over their love of live-fire cooking. In early 2023, Jon started designing grill prototypes and invited Harry and his business manager, Joel Birschbach, to bring their expertise to the table and help make his vision of the perfect live fire grill a reality.

Once Harry started cooking on the prototypes, he was sold on the idea. The “three amigos” decided to start a company, Primal Grills USA, with the goal of being the first American grill manufacturer to bring California and Argentinian-style live fire grill designs together and revolutionize how barbecue enthusiasts approach outdoor cooking.

Jon Faulkenberry, Sales Director – is an industry veteran who has over 30+ years’ experience in the barbecue business from manufacturing to sales. Formerly a manager with Sam’s Club and Cabela’s, Jon is highly experienced in customer service and cultivating partner relationships in all aspects of the retail realm. Jon’s time in Sales and Manufacturing with Brinkmann, Royal Oak, Masterbuilt, and Jealous Devil Charcoal has equipped him with strong sense of product line expertise that are ideal for the brick-and-mortar grill markets and to target the 800 mid-tier box retailers in the USA.

Harry Soo, Pitmaster and Social Media – brings in 30+ years of business knowledge as an IT-industry veteran who oversaw a $65M project portfolio in Los Angeles serving 300 cities and 20 million people. He retired from IT in 2022 and has 15 years experience as a professional pitmaster with 300K+ followers on various social media platforms, 800+ videos, 100+ first places and KCBS (Kansas City BBQ Society) and IBCA Texas awards, and numerous TV and celebrity appearances on Food Network, Chopped, and cable TV. Harry teaches BBQ classes, does trade shows, demos, and celebrity appearances.  He also sells 10 rubs and 5 sauces in the retail, wholesale, distributor, broker, online, private and white label markets.

Joel Birschbach, Operations Manager – former Navy veteran submariner and uber Swiss Army Knife skills in operations, logistics, back office, IT, warehousing, fulfilment, and shipping. Prior retail and manufacturing experience include gigs with PaperMate and Hostess. Joel handles the Slap Yo Daddy BBQ Shopify website, rub and sauce operations and logistics, and Amazon FBA (fulfilment by Amazon) and Amazon FBM (fulfilment by merchant).
